Universal Careers offers training for flight attendants
An emergency situation can happen anywhere, even at 30,000 feet.
Universal Careers emt, a leading provider of training for EMT/paramedics, is pleased to offer a short course for flight attendants. The course will better prepare flight attendants and technicians to respond to an emergency on a plane.
Rick Hamilton, senior executive of development for UC, said, “We are really happy to be able to offer this. Our programs for other professions and lay people have been very well received, and this one should be as much of a success.”
“Emergencies can happen anywhere, as last year's incident with the plane landing in the Hudson River shows. Not all of those flights will be as lucky, so Universal Careers wants to help flight attendants get the skills to respond to an emergency until proper medical treatment can be provided.”
The course will cover basic lifesaving skills such as CPR, choking and bleeding treatment as well as prepare for emergencies more specialized in an aircraft.
Universal Careers has been training EMT/paramedics since 2005. The instructors are licensed EMT/paramedics with several years of experience in the field. In addition, the students work with actual medical equipment and go outside the classroom to emergency rooms and hospitals. Upon completion of the course, UC graduates are able to certify to work in all 50 states.
