Universal Careers gives interview training

At many schools, students take classes in traditional formats, graduate and are expected to find work on their own. Universal Careers takes a different view.

Universal Careers, a leader in EMT/paramedic training, knows that simply passing classes and graduating may not be enough to land a job in this economy. That is why UC has tailored its program to help students from beginning to end, including interview and job placement assistance.

Students at Universal Careers go through an intensive program to become EMTs, learning the procedures and skills that will help them be successful on the job. But Universal Careers also gives students a class on interviewing, teaching them tips and skills to land their perfect job.

Kevin Simpson, program manager for Universal Careers, said, “While other programs teach students how to drive an ambulance and treat injuries in an emergency situation, what sets Universal Careers apart is working with all of a student's needs. They receive top quality training to become a qualified EMT/paramedic, but they also learn how to showcase those skills and that knowledge when talking to a prospective employer.”

The interviewing class gives students tips on how to prepare for interviews as well as how to answer questions to show off their readiness for the job.

Since 2005, Universal Careers has been training EMT/paramedics for the growing field of Emergency Medical Services. UC provides top-quality training and job placement assistance by placement professionals. The organization has helped thousands of graduates find jobs in both the private and public sector.

With customer service offices in Los Angeles, Calif., and a training partner in Fredericksburg, Va., UC is a state-of-the-art provider of training for individuals interested in joining the health care field. Upon successful completion of the Universal Careers EMT Basic course, students will receive additional help in obtaining their EMT Certification which makes them eligible to work with paramedics in every state in the U.S.
